Our team is divided across two physical offices, in Prince George and Vancouver, along with our remote team who are spread across Canada, in Ontario and New Brunswick.

Set in beautiful British Columbia, we have two physical offices that serve as the hubs for our software development, customer support, and daily operations.

Vancouver, BC

Senior Technical Writer

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and creative Senior Technical Writer to become an integral part of our dynamic and scrappy team.

You will be a self-starter, responsible for creating clear, comprehensive, and accurate documentation that supports our product’s usability and adoption. This documentation serves a diverse audience, including clinicians, medical office assistants, and system administrators, ensuring they have the information they need at their fingertips.

You will also flex your creative muscles, demonstrating your excitement for our vision by producing compelling newsletters, insightful blog posts, and captivating web content that resonates with our audience and drives engagement.


  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation materials, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and FAQ sections.
  • Collaborate with product management, developers, and customer support teams to gather and verify information.
  • Translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
  • Update existing documentation to reflect product updates and changes in technology.
  • Create tutorials and how-to guides that enhance user engagement and understanding.
  • Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing documentation to identify areas for improvement.
  • Actively contribute to the refinement of our user interface by providing insightful feedback and practical suggestions for improvement.
  • Develop, organize, and refresh web content to ensure a seamless and informative user experience on our corporate website. This includes optimizing content for search engines and ensuring alignment with our brand’s voice and visual style.
  • Design and produce our regular customer newsletter, ensuring it aligns with brand standards while engaging our audience effectively.
  • Co-create compelling content for various campaigns, including email marketing, social media posts, and promotional materials.
  • Maintain consistency in content and visuals across all documentation platforms.
  • Co-write and edit blog posts that highlight industry trends, product features, and key company updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical writing experience, preferably in the healthcare technology or related field.
  • Proficient with documentation tools such as ProProfs, Confluence, or similar.
  • Ability to understand and document complex technical systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to craft engaging content for diverse platforms and audiences.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with healthcare systems and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Experience in Agile development environments.
  • Creative flair for producing marketing content that resonates with target audiences.

Expected Salary Range

  • $80,000 – $125,000 Your compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.

While this is a remote position, should you reside in the vicinity of one of our two offices (Vancouver or Prince George, BC), you are expected to work part-time in office as required.
