Our team is divided across two physical offices, in Prince George and Vancouver, along with our remote team who are spread across Canada, in Ontario and New Brunswick.

Administrative Assistant / Customer Support Associate for Electronic Medical Record Product Organization

Full Time

Bright Health is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Prince George-based Administrative Assistant / Customer Support Associate to help with administrative tasks and to contribute to our support organization by handling support issues from customers and patients.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Administrative duties including all aspects of office management.
  • Customer invoicing, accounts receivable, product subscription monitoring and renewals. 
  • Organizing events for Bright Health including social occasions, product updates and surveys.
  • Acquiring a good user understanding of our products and services. 
  • Being the voice of the organization: you are the first one to answer the phone/email.
  • Handling product support requests via email and phone. 
  • Providing training and support to clients, both in person and via video conference.
  • Creating documentation and training materials.
  • Staying current with the latest developments in MOIS by participating in software testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral. 
  • Must be a very good listener to understand customer issues and requests.
  • Must be a motivated, confident self-starter with solid organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and computer skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail with robust investigative talents. 
  • Previous office management/administrative assistant experience. 
  • Ideally, previous familiarity in working in a healthcare organization.

Customer Support Associate for Electronic Medical Record Product

Full Time

Bright Health is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Customer Support Associate to help customers and patients with our electronic medical record (EMR) and patient portal/personal health record solutions. Both our MOIS® EMR and our support are top-ranked in Canada. We need you to make our support even better!

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Acquire an in-depth knowledge of our products and services. 
  • Handle product support requests via email and phone. 
  • Provide in-depth training and support to clients, both in person and via video conference.
  • Travel on-site to provide support during go-lives. Some distance travel may be required.
  • Creating complex documentation and training material.
  • Creating medical forms and templates. 
  • Staying current with the latest developments in MOIS by participating in the software testing process.
  • Collaborate with customers and within our customer support and development teams to identify requirements, enhancements and issues and work to address and/or resolve them.

Technical Analyst Position for Electronic Medical Record Application

Full Time

Bright Health is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Technical Analyst to help customers and patients with our electronic medical record (EMR) and patient portal/personal health record solutions. The Technical Analyst is responsible for technical support for medical offices using MOIS. Strong troubleshooting skills and a “can do” attitude are attributes you must possess. While you may have acquired your technical skills in a different industry, your key attribute is your ability to analyze and solve problems. Top-notch training will be provided for you to become well-versed with our products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding our product and the EMR domain.
  • Provide technical support to users and staff in diverse IT environments.
  • Deploy new software releases and updates to customer sites.
  • Understand customer feedback and implement solutions for complex systems and issues.
  • Review the status of backups and system generated reports.
  • Complete analyses for both software under test and customer implementations, including software and hardware evaluations and upgrades.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership.
  • Authoring SQL and system scripts to automate and monitor tasks.
  • Create and maintain technical and user documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Unquestionable ethics. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in group and one-on-one settings.
  • Patience and listening skills.
  • A knack for understanding customer needs and seeing them succeed.
  • Consistent follow through on the completion of tasks in a timely manner.
  • Familiarity with Windows/Linux Operating Systems, relational databases, hardware configuration, networks and IT security technologies.

Health Informatics and Technical Product Manager for Electronic Medical Record Product

Bright Health is looking for a talented and enthusiastic health informatics specialist with technical product management skills.

The Health Informatics/Technical Product Manager will report to the CEO and is responsible for working in a multi-disciplinary team to translate evidence-based clinical processes and patient and provider needs into changes to the Bright Health’s products.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • You will be the clinical informatics subject matter expert at Bright Health. You will apply your understanding of the health system, clinical workflows and processes and decision support needs.
  • You will work with health care providers, partner health informatics specialists, developers and senior management to define changes to Bright Health’s products: you will author and elaborate on epics and user stories, and assist in prioritization activities.
  • You will review changes to regulations, policies and external systems, including lab information systems and health information exchanges: you will determine the impact on Bright Health’s products and services and recommend extensions or changes. 
  • You will review changes to Bright Health’s products and provide expert feedback on the impact on clinical workflow and processes. 
  • You will anticipate future clinical requirements and how they may translate into product and service changes. This will include literature reviews of leading clinical practices and IT systems.
  • Participate in release and sprint planning.
  • Participate in product testing and evaluation. 
  • You will author and publish research papers and present at conferences.
  • You will represent Bright Health at conferences and other industry events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health care or health informatics discipline.  
  • Demonstrable knowledge of heathcare systems design, integration, interoperability standards and vocabularies.
  • Ideally, additional qualifications relating to information management and/or information technology. 
  • Three years of related experience in clinical operations and/or clinical systems development. 
  • Experience in product development and/or specification.
  • Experience with process improvement, change management, project management and group facilitation are an asset. 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Consistent follow through on delivery in a timely manner.

Full Stack Developer

Full Time

Bright Health is looking for talented and enthusiastic full-stack developers to join our established and growing organization. We build an EMR called MOIS® – the highest-rated electronic medical record (EMR) solution in Canada. We need you to help make it even better.

The Software Developer will report to a Development Manager and is responsible for the development of software, 2nd and 3rd level support and debugging and assisting other developers and staff with their assignments as required.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Participating in agile development activities including story authoring, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint execution, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Meeting with customers to develop and understand requirements.
  • Working with local and remote technical and support staff to estimate, design, implement, test and debug changes and extensions to Bright Health products, including working with others to complete system testing. These changes and extensions involve the development of:
    • RESTful services,
    • HTML and HTML5,
    • Javascript,
    • CSS and
    • XML.
  • Using JIRA and Git effectively.
  • Supporting customers, and data mining.
  • Assisting with the recruitment of additional technical staff.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • A degree or diploma from a Computer Science or Electrical Engineering program, or another similar technical program.
  • 2 years of application development experience with strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux. C# experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with a keen eye for detail.
  • A flair for good user experience design.
  • Being a fast learner and independent thinker.
  • Consistent follow through on delivery in a timely manner.
  • Experience or training in health informatics or healthcare is an asset.
