  • Reports to: Development Manager
    Location: Metro Vancouver or Prince George, Remote (Pacific office hours)

    Bright Health is a non-profit organization that strives to improve health care outcomes by building best-in-class electronic medical record (EMR) and related software. We are committed to improving patient health by enabling care that is more accessible, effective, connected, and human, especially in the communities and populations that need it most.  We are the preferred partner for many health care organizations, from Health Authorities, to provincial programs, to small clinics, as we deliver intelligent, collaborative, and interoperable software that lets providers focus on patients, not technology.

    Duties
    Full participation in the Software Lifecycle – which may include:

    • Working with Product Management and software development leadership to design and estimate solutions

    • Developing, testing and delivering software within expected timeframes

    • Meeting other team members, as well as current and future users and customers for demos and feedback gathering

    • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

     

    Essential Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science or Technical Certification in a Software Development discipline

    • 5+ years experience with the following:

      • C# / .Net 6 > (Core) / ASP.Net API

      • RDBMS

      • Git

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Experience with the software development life cycle and Agile methodologies

    • Fluent in English

    • Legally allowed to work in Canada

     

    Desirable Qualifications
    Experience in the following:

    • PostgreSQL

    • Entity Framework Core

    • GraphQL / Hot Chocolate

    • React + Typescript

    • Fluent UI

    • Microsoft Azure

    • Atlassian Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Confluence

    • FHIR

    • Agile Scrum

    • Python

    • Appeon PowerBuilder

    • Healthcare Applications
