About Us

At Bright Health, we’re inspiring transformation in health care.

We design and build software products and solutions that aim deliver the best patient and provider experiences. We help position our customers to deliver optimum patient care and improve outcomes. Why? Because we care about the future of healthcare in Canada.

Our Vision

To create an ecosystem of user-friendly and secure tools that seamlessly support continuous improvement in healthcare.

Our Mission

To offer a nationally available, standards-based EMR and PHR that supports health care providers and the health care system in achieving better outcomes, while improving both the patient and provider experience.

We’re Pioneers

Since 1990 we’ve been at the forefront of advancing healthcare IT and medical software technology in British Columbia and Canada as a whole. It began with our first iteration of the MOIS EMR®, and has continued with the use of SNOMED. We’ve also led with the use of CDX for the electronic transmission of medical documents, support for the Health Data Coalition and implementation of alternate compensations models. All of these are helping improving the quality of care in communities. Recently, to improve patient activation, we’ve released myhealthkey: a personal health record solution that is tightly integrated with the MOIS EMR.

We’re Not in it for the Money

We are a not-for-profit society, originally incorporated as Applied Informatics for Health Society back in 2007. We are governed by a Board of Directors that are Physician led, and supported by business and IT professionals. All profits and dividends from the sale of our products are reinvested into our people and our products to continually improve them for you, our customers.

We're in this Together

Collaboration is key to the success of our organization and our products. We work with you to identify, develop and deliver new product features and releases. This enables us to continually transform our products and evolve with our users.
